1. What happens if my Internet connection goes down?
digitalsignage.NET enables your media players to work on a ‘’forward and store’’ principle which implies that the content received will be stored locally and played on your screens even when the Internet connection fails. The media players will continue to play the same content until fresh content is received (when the connection is re-established).
2. Can I preview my content before it goes ‘’Live’’?
Yes, within your digitalsignage.NET portal you have a preview window that allows you to see how your content will look like when displayed on your screens. You can modify the content, save the changes and publish your information only when completely satisfied with its feel and look. Download the Preview app from the Downloads section to view your creation.
3. How many screens can I have on my network?
digitalsignage.NET is a massively scalable solution which means that it is able to support networks of any size without any compromise in terms of content quality, timeliness and ease of use. This feature allows end-users to start with one screen and gradually add more displays without any software investment being needed.
4. What will digitalsignage.NET do for me?
Our software allows you to upload and schedule the information you want to display on single or multiple screens. You decide the time and screens you wish to deliver the content to, schedule and publish. Once these steps are completed, digitalsignage.NET will deliver your content to the media players which will store it and transfer it to your screens in almost real time.
5. Can I send different content to different screens?
digitalsignage.NET enables you to associate the right content to the right screens. All you have to do is create new Channels, create your playlist (lists of content add and associate these Channels to the right media players connected to your screens.
6. Who has access and control over my network?
Only the persons you want to give the rights to. You can assign the following user types:
▪ Administrator - controls the whole network
▪ Simple user- can be assigned a playlist, channel, or simply add media to the media store.
7. Can I assign part of a screen to a user?
Yes, by using the Side playlist widget in Layout , you can assign a user a playlist to ruin in this area
8. What can I display on my screens?
digitalsignage.NET supports all modern media formats including HD videos, Jpegs (photos), RSS feeds (News &Twitter feeds), Flash files (ie. iSpring- converted PowerPoint presentations)HTML , Web pages ,and Live video so you can display all the news and information your audience would be interested in.
9. How often can I update my screen?
There are no limits on how many times a day you can do this, the update taking place in almost real time (depending on content size and internet connection). So you can refresh your screens each time you have time- sensitive news to communicate or already displayed information to amend.
